Our prototypes

Currently, the ML3000 engine is still a prototype mainly designed for study and tests, however it is ready to be used for domestic and/or industrial applications.

ML3000P

ALPHA TYPE STIRLING ENGINE (BLOCK) PROTOTYPE

Material used
  • Engine block and crankcase: Fe510 nickel-plated
  • Piston Rod: 7075 aluminium alloy
  • Crankshaft: steel bar tempered and rectified
  • Connecting Rods and pistons: 7075 aluminium alloy anodized
  • Cylinder sleeves: chrome-plated steel
  • Piston gasket: Teflon/carbon (to be replaced every 30'000 hours of usage)

  • Gas used: Nitrogen
  • Overpressure: Up to 30 Bar
  • Working temperature: 850°/950° Celsius (Hot side)
  • Starting temperature: 800° Celsius (Hot side)
  • Rotation per minute: (with load) up to 600
  • Lubrication: not needed
  • Cooling: water (from 4,5 up to 6,5 Liter per minute)
  • Maintenance: need to be inspected every 1000 hours of use
  • Dimensions (approximated): 959 mm x 780 mm x 266 mm
  • Weight (approximated): 250Kg
Performances
Electric power generated: (DC) up to 3 Kw (with three-phase generator or equivalent) It can run constantly, 24 / 7 .

The ML3000 series comes with three different kinds of heat exchangers in order to meet different heat sources and dimension requirements.

  • This exchanger CANNOT be substituted with
    the “Nazgul” or the “Elendil”. (Modifications are possible if required)
